BOWL — LIQUEN
stoneware with glaze
A small footed bowl with a thick, uneven rim, sitting on a short foot of raw rust-red clay.
The glaze on the body is pale and heavily pitted, like pumice or lichen on stone, with faint traces of green in the hollows. Around the rim and through the interior it turns to warm amber and pools in glossy patches. The contrast between the crusted outside and the smooth, glowing inside makes it feel like something found rather than made.
Handbuilt ceramic. 4 inches tall, 5.5 inches diameter. One of a kind.
