MAREA LAMP
18"h x 14"dia
stoneware with sand tide glaze, unfinished brass hardware
A wheel-thrown base rises into a hand-built dome shade, capped with a simple brass finial.
The glaze moves across the piece the way a wave moves across sand — soft golds and driftwood grays pooling and receding into one another, with the texture of wet sand still holding the light. No two surfaces catch it the same way. The light is color-temperature adjustable and dimmable via an in-line switch on the cord, so the glow can shift from warm to cool depending on the room and hour.
Handbuilt and wheel-thrown ceramic.
One of a kind.
