A wide, shallow plate that hovers just off the surface it rests on, held almost imperceptibly aloft by a small foot centered beneath it.
Glossy black glaze fills the interior, pooling and catching the light, while the sides and underside are left in raw black clay — matte against gloss, unfinished against finished. The two surfaces read as a single dark form until the light catches the difference.
Handbuilt ceramic. 1.5 inches tall, 9.5 inches diameter. One of a kind.
