Round-bellied, self-assured, and completely unbothered, this hand-built stoneware vessel was inspired by the artist's cat, and it shows. The globular body sits on three sturdy legs with the quiet confidence of a creature that has claimed every room it has ever entered. A dark loop handle arcs across the back. The flared lip opens like a yawn.
 
The surface is the real story, bronze and black shifting across each other like patinated metal, the clay beneath showing through in streaks and craters that make the piece look cast rather than made by hand. Up close it reads like aged bronze. From across a room it commands attention.
