unglazed black clay, unfinished brass hardware
A tapered column rises into a hand-built dome shade, capped with a simple brass finial.
There is no glaze here. The black clay is left raw, and its natural texture carries the whole surface, matte and mottled, closer to something quarried than something fired. The brass warms against the dark body and deepens with age. The light is color-temperature adjustable and dimmable via an in-line switch on the cord, so the glow can shift from warm to cool depending on the room and hour.
Handbuilt ceramic - Each one will vary slightly due to the nature of the clay and the handbuilt quality.
